Warm Greetings from the Editorial board.

As the new Editor-in-chief, it gives me immense pleasure to acknowledge the former editors for their stupendous effort in establishing an identity for the Journal of Interdisciplinary Dentistry which is the official publication of Indian Society of Prosthodontics-Restorative and Periodontics.

“Success is not final, Failure is not fatal, it's the courage to continue that counts” and when you are blessed with a team where everyone is moving forward together then success will take care of itself.

I take this opportunity to thank the current President of our society Dr Gopi Chander and secretary Dr Vibha Shetty for their support and the trust which they have endeavoured on me. I also take this opportunity to thank all the Past Presidents and the Secretaries of the Indian society of Prosthodontics, Restorative and Periodontics for believing in me and electing me as the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Dentistry.

Let me take you through the history of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Dentistry, the first issue was published in 2011 as bi-annual issue but as the manuscripts started to flow in because of its significance as a unitary journal which publishes science and research in interdisciplinary aspect, and this significance made the evolution of an additional issue in the next year of its inception, it was from 2012 the journal publishes 3 issues per year and this goes till date. I thank all the Past Editors who have played their part in the growth of the journal.

The journal publishes Original Research, Clinical Research, Material Research, interesting case reports, Systematic review, and Meta analysis, pertaining to all 3 specialities – Prosthodontics, Restorative and Periodontics.

The journal has its own indexing with various renowned agencies, but in my tenure, me and my Editorial team would like to make sure that the journal would move towards the goal of getting indexed in Scopus, PubMed-Medline and Web of Science. In this endeavour, I would request all authors to stand by me and help us to achieve this goal by submitting high quality manuscripts.

With this I would like to state 'it always feels impossible until its done' so let's together succeed, I shall be very happy welcoming your suggestions and looking forward to work for you.
