Advances in medical science and research are aiming toward prevention of disease. Molecular biology and genetics are today giving us a better understanding of disease processes. Stem cell therapy to replace tissues and organs to their original form is the subject of extensive research. We too need to be innovative and welcome new thoughts in our methods of practice. In addition, we need to publish details of the work we do, irrespective of the results we get. As Thomas Alva Edison famously said, "I have not failed. I have found 10,000 ways that do not work."
I took over as an Editor-In-Chief for this journal with the ultimate goal of dissemination of latest information of highest quality in the field of dental education, from various clinicians from all over the globe, with following objectives.
To encourage dental surgeons to do clinical research and publish original and contemporary scientific articles. To make our journal a benchmark for research in India by adding the good impact factor. To go global by making our journal indexed with PubMed.
Robin Sharma, a famous leadership Guru and author of many books, writes in "The Greatness Guide," "To live on in the minds and hearts of the generations who will follow you is to cheat death." That means to find immortality. I invite you all to participate in clinical research and publish scientific articles that will be quoted by future generations of dentists. Your name will live on.
Get up early, sit back and relax with a cup of tea or coffee. Let your thoughts flow on how to do better in your field of expertise. Put your thoughts judiciously into practice in your practice. At the end of the day note down on a nice clean sheet of paper what you did and compile your writing scientifically. Write the changes you have made in your practice. You will find that you have material to create an article. And then, send it to us or any other good journal. Our able and efficient editorial team will study your article and vet it for publication.
All the best to you. We look forward to your articles, your support AND your criticism. Help us to move forward and help us to take our journal higher. Together we can….
Sincerely yours,
